Extension and refurbishments of an existing aged care facility
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
lol英雄联盟积分新版v3.5(lol英雄联盟季节今日可靠) Construction was awarded the contract for extension and refurbishment of this existing aged care facility located in Eight Mile Plains.
The scope included for an extension to provide new dining facilities, kitchen and community hall along with servery areas, a café and town square. The refurbishment also comprised the upgrade of 16 existing rooms and associated corridors.
All works have been carried out in an operational facility and were staged to minimise disruption to residents and staff.
Access was the main challenge on this site. The entire extension was built within a courtyard of the existing facility. Limited access for machinery required careful planning and coordination. Along with the access restriction there was an access route running straight though the middle of the courtyard that needed to remain open for staff and residents throughout the build period.
Constant liaison was a mandatory part of our plan to ensure that the facility staff where comfortable with our daily activities and could plan around them in advance.
